2022 Events & Fundraisers
Autism Awareness Fundraiser
The mission of Coral Springs Police Officers Foundation Lodge 87 and its members is to serve the community through our various charitable initiatives.
One such cause we are proud to support is Autism Awareness which has touched the lives of so many, our own members and family included.
Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), refers to a broad range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech, and nonverbal communication. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, autism affects an estimated 1 in 59 children in the United States today
Our goal is to encourage public awareness, stimulate a conversation within our community about the importance of early detection, and raise funds that will go directly to autism research and treatment organizations.
Thanks to your support, proceeds will go to a local charity.
The patches are $10 each or 2 for $15, plus shipping. The metal lapel pins are $10 each.
We appreciate your support!

- Autism impacts the normal development of the brain in the areas of social interaction, communication skills, and cognitive function. Individuals with autism typically have difficulties in verbal and non-verbal communication, social interactions, and leisure or play activities
- Autism is diagnosed four times more often in boys than girls. Its prevalence is not affected by race, region, or socio-economic status. Since autism was first diagnosed in the U.S. the incidence has climbed to an alarming one in 59 children in the U.S.
- Currently there is no cure for autism, though with early intervention and treatment, the diverse symptoms related to autism can be greatly improved and in some cases completely overcome.

Coming Summer 2022
Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser
Coming October 2022
Unfortunately, breast cancer has touched the lives of so many, including our own members and families.
Cancer has no boundaries; it doesn’t care how old or young, what gender, what color skin, or what social/economic status.
It is estimated that about 1 in 8 U.S. women will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime.
The World Health Organization states that breast cancer is the most common cancer among women worldwide. In fact, breast cancer is the 2nd leading cause of cancer deaths among women. Men are also not immune from this disease.
Fortunately, treatment is available when caught early. It is important to know early warning signs and symptoms.
Survival rates have continued to increase due to better treatment and early detection. Early detection is all about awareness, education, and screenings.
The Coral Springs Police Officers Foundation FOP Lodge 87 wants to do our part, by bringing attention to the fight against breast cancer.
Each year we sell a PINK version of the Coral Springs Police patch to the public.
Our goal is to encourage public awareness, stimulate a conversation within our community about the importance of early detection, and raise funds that will go directly to breast cancer research and treatment organizations.
100% of funds donated will go to breast cancer awareness and research.

Annual Charity Golf Tournament
The Coral Springs Police Officers Foundation FOP Lodge 87 is happy to announce that it is again hosting its Annual Charity Golf Tournament on October 28th 2022. This will be the 31st year we have hosted this tournament and it has become known throughout Broward County as the golf tournament to go to! Proceeds from this year’s tournament will once again go towards our college scholarship programs – including our Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School College Scholarship. Many of our members responded to MSD tragedy and we want to continue to help out the community that has been affected by this event.
The event also helps sponsor our community outreach and charitable programs that we donate to each year.
